Rochester Brain Awareness Week 1

Date: April 8 – April 12, 2019

Rochester's Brain Awareness Weeks are right around the corner!  The Brain Awareness Campaign is currently recruiting volunteers for our school visits April 8-12 and April 22-26. Shifts are in the morning (lasting approx. 8am-12pm) EXCEPT April 10th and 11th when we will have afternoon shifts (approx. 11am-3:30pm). Volunteers are only expected to work one shift. They will be helping us lead brain-related activities in elementary school classrooms.
All interested volunteers are encouraged to attend one of our training sessions, lasting less than an hour:
  • Tuesday, March 26 at 4:30pm in the Med Center (KMRB 2.9654)
  • Wednesday, March 27 at 4:30pm on River Campus, Meliora 269 aka Kresge
If you are interested in volunteering for a shift, please fill out this google form letting us know which training session you plan to attend: https://goo.gl/forms/65mlTpzcxbM31Z9I2
Those who attend a training session will get first dibs on volunteer shifts. If you are unable to attend a training session but would still like to volunteer, please let us know using the above form!
We will also have our usual long-sleeved t-shirts with our logo available for purchase. These are NOT mandatory, but if you would like one to wear during the school visit, they will be $15 (venmo or cash at the training session).
Please contact the Brain Awarness Campaign if you have any questions!
